This senior leadership role provides an exceptional opportunity to lead and shape the firm’s SMSF services. The successful candidate will work closely with industry-leading partners and oversee a team dedicated to delivering high-quality SMSF advisory and management.

    About The Role

    • Leadership: Lead and manage the SMSF division, overseeing a team of SMSF specialists.

    • Client Management: Handle a sophisticated portfolio of SMSF clients, providing strategic advice and tailored solutions.

    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with SMSF regulations, including the preparation and lodgment of financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory documentation.

    • Strategy Development: Develop and implement SMSF strategies and planning, including tax and estate planning.

    • Team Oversight: Mentor and manage a team of SMSF professionals, including offshore team members, ensuring high standards of service and accuracy.

    • Client Advisory: Offer high-level advisory services on complex SMSF matters, including investment strategies and fund structuring.

    • Professional Development: Facilitate ongoing training and development for the SMSF team, keeping up with industry changes and best practices.

    • Quality Control: Review and ensure the quality of work produced by the SMSF team, including financial statement preparation and compliance checks.

    Beneficial Experience

    • Proven experience in leading an SMSF division or similar high-level advisory role within a public practice accounting environment.

    • Strong track record of managing complex SMSF portfolios and providing strategic advice.

    • Expertise in SMSF compliance, including tax returns, financial statements, and regulatory requirements.

    • Experience with mentoring and managing a team, including overseeing offshore staff.

    • In-depth knowledge of SMSF investment strategies, tax planning, and estate planning.

    • 8-12+ years of experience in public practice accounting, with a focus on SMSF.

    • Strong understanding of SMSF legislation and accounting standards.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.

    • CA/CPA Qualification (or equivalent).
